    • 3 yrs. on the Board of the Nanaimo Regional Hospital
    • 6 yrs. on the Board of the Vancouver Island Regional Library
    • 9 yrs. as Regional Director, Area A, Regional Dist. of Nanaimo

What are the Issues?

    Global Warming, Peak Oil, and a collapsing economy will require local production of food, goods, and services. We can no longer afford to import our food from California, Mexico, and China.


We must?
  • Strengthen our Community’s OCP and our Growth Management Plan emphasizing neighbourhood input and Sustainability
  • Form Neighbourhood Committees to create local control over local issues
  • Protect and enhance our farms, forests, and natural resources
  • Protect and enhance our environment and the biological diversity on which our lives depend
  • Support sustainable farms, farmers, and resource industries
  • Support commercial and home-based businesses and industries which are compatible with our Community’s Objectives
  • Eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and waste of our tax dollars
  • Plan a rosy future for our great-grandchildren and the generations to come
